For you to generate more income online, you will need to be able to have something to offer in exchange for the dollar. What exactly can you offer for sale and how do you ascertain if it will be in demand or popular?

Where To Begin?
Let’s begin by checking out the web sites, publications, and periodicals that others are reading and shopping for. A great place to begin is Amazon.com.

This is like a giant library of information just waiting for you to take advantage of. You will be amazed when you begin to gather ideas as easily as thumbing through your favorite magazine.

You may have spent a good few times on Amazon, and generated a lot of ideas, but you won’t know which ones to use first for your niche market blog.

The first place you want to go is to look at the magazine and newspapers offered on Amazon.

Once you are in this area, look to the left side of the page and you will see a long list of categories. You will find unlimited amounts of ideas for your niche blogging here.

Time To Gather Some Ideas
A place to start are the topics that interest you. Once you find something of interest, it would be very easy for you to write about it. You want to get a topic that you will enjoy researching, and your knowledge and enthusiasm will show in your writing. Wait until later for more difficult topics, after which you will be more of an expert in niche market blogging.

Start small; don’t go up against the big guys that are in the giant niches like fitness and weight loss. You may want to maintain the smaller niches where you will most likely have lesser competition. Leave the greater niches to the experts. You will find some great success in these smaller areas.

After you have made up your mind about a niche idea, take the topic and place it on Google and search for any news or articles related to taht topic. You can come up with some interesting news or articles on your particular subject.

There are a lot of people making a lot of money online from what is known as niche marketing.  So what exactly is niche marketing?  And what makes a niche attractive to market to?

A niche is basically a market within a market.  For example, take the renewable energy market.  A niche within the renewables market might be the solar power or wind energy market. But it is possible to go even further and actually target smaller sub niches that niche.  As an example, homemade wind generators would be a sub niche of the wind energy market.

The more targeted or smaller your niche is, the less traffic or visitors it will receive.  But, conversely, because the traffic you do get will be very closely aligned to your subject matter, it is likely to convert better with whatever it is you are marketing.

Niche marketing is about identifying a small targeted market and making money from it.  You can make money from a niche by selling them your own product, or by taking a commission for promoting someone else’s product.

Well the niche needs to get enough traffic to ensure you make regular sales.  You can simply use Google’s own keyword tool to assess whether or not your niche gets enough visitors to make it worth while you building a site.

Another good indication of whether a niche has enough people looking online to spend money in it, is to do a search and see how many products already exist that are targeted specifically at the niche in question. A good way to research products is to go to a site called Clickbank.
